Special requests

The renter should be aware that child seats are required in most countries and should be required at the time of reservation. For the older children we strongly advise you that you bring own booster seats with the mark British Kite. However, please note that the child seats are required by us on your behalf but we cannot guarantee they will be provided. These are payable locally. Roof Racks, as well as Ski Racks and Snow Chains are provided in some locations and need to be requested for at the time of reservation. Note that there is a certain fee for these items and they will be payable at the time and place of collection. The snow tyres and winter charges are mandatory in some countries and are also locally paid.

One-way drop charges

The travelers should further be aware that the picking up at one location and the dropping off at another usually is taking a local charge that is to be paid locally to the supplier. If you need to crossing country boundaries or state lines this will also result in large charges that are payable locally. One-way rentals within mainland UK usually result in a charge in the region of 35 British pounds that are also to be covered locally. Please, ask for confirmation when making the reservation.

Charges for Out of Hours

Note that at some locations are being offered pick-up service that is out of hours, but there might be a small local fee for this.

General Terms and Advice

Local Legislation

The travelers should be aware that all vehicle rentals are under the legal terms, conditions and pricing procedures of the local partner, and are coming in effect at the time of printing the current contract. In case there is subsequent enactment of any law in the country of rental, that prohibits any of those terms, conditions or pricing conditions, the local supplier terms, conditions and prices will be properly adjusted to the necessary extent in order to compensate for these prohibitions and restrictions.

Flight Information

When you make the car hire reservation but do not have the flight number or the estimated time of arrival at that moment, and they are required, please make sure to get then and to provide them to our company at least three days or 72 hours before your departure. In case there are delays in the flight and we have not received the above mentioned information, we will not be held responsible for the failed rental.

Late Bookings

The travelers should know that it is advisable they make the booking at least three days or 72 hours before they start traveling, in order to avoid disappointment, since some of the reservation offices of the suppliers are not working during the weekends and further to that ? during the busy periods they might be out of vehicles. Note that the reservations made at the first two days of the week usually require one day to confirm them with the suppliers.

Requirements for Worldwide Driving License

The traveler should know that a full current driving license is necessary, in order to collect a certain vehicle. This license should be issued in the country of domicile. If the passport is not written with the Roman Alphabet letters, a translation will be required. The renter should note that if he/she has the new UK driving license, one will further need to take the photocard, plus also the full paper version, as our suppliers might refuse to hire an automobile to you, if you do not have this. There is an exception to the above: the special terms & conditions of our contract with the suppliers we work with, dictate that we are not allowed to rent a vehicle in North America to anyone with a North American driving license.

Deposits

Our clients should know that the deposits may vary as they depend on the chosen location. We will require a credit card that is valid with necessary space on it, which has to be in the name of the lead driver (as per the voucher). Sometimes we require fuel deposits as well, and if this happens most of our suppliers request the vehicle to be returned to them as empty as possible. In order to feel comfortable, please check at the local office, just in case the policy at your particular location is different.

Provision of Cars

Our clients should know that the suppliers we work with reserve their right to refuse to hire a customer a certain automobile, when they feel that in their opinion, this person is unfit to drive or does not cover the eligibility requirements. If this is the case, the contract with us will terminate and we will have no further liability to you.

Number of Passengers

The vehicles we work with and provide are insured to take the maximum number of passengers. Note that we can not be held responsible, in case the vehicle is not large enough to take all passengers and their luggage on arrival in case the details have not been supplied at the time of making the reservation.

Driving Restrictions

The traveler should know that at certain countries/states, one will not be allowed to drive across the border and this shall be checked at the time of making the booking. In case you happen to drive across one of these particular borders, your insurance policy will not be covering you and further we will not be held responsible for any bad outcome.

Insurance Excess and Exclusions

We have a no excess insurance policy, which covers you for the excess that you might be charged with in case there is damage caused resulting from an accident. This excess maybe charged by the local supplier, but you can reclaim this, if it happens that you have a police report and have filled in and presented an accident report form on returning the car you have been using, then forward a copy of this to us. Note that we will refund the excess paid by the client within 21 days of receiving their accident report form. This no excess insurance policy should not be applied to prestige vehicles (this includes standard vehicles or higher in Europe, as well as minivans or higher in North America), and does not cover towing charges, damage to tyres, windows and the roof, the underside and the interior of the car, or damage caused through negligence or willfully. Thus, you might be therefore responsible for the cost of this damage. In the event there is theft, the insurance does not cover the contents of the vehicle. In case the keys are lost or damaged, the client will be liable for the costs of obtaining a replacement set of keys.

Car Type and Car Suitability

The clients should know that we are not in a position to guarantee any particular model or make of a vehicle, however wherever when possible we will require a specific vehicle type on your behalf. The automobiles are subject to availability.

Mechanical Difficulties and Accidents

Usually, the suppliers we work with provide a 24-hour breakdown service. Please, make sure to check your voucher wallet or to ask a member of the reservations department whether your specific supplier offers this service.

Complaints

The clients should know that we aim to resolve complaints within two weeks from the date of receipt. However, sometimes some of the complaints take a little longer in order to investigate. Even if this is the case, we will make our best to answer the complaint within one month from the date of its receipt.
